Oh, The Places She’ll Go….

January 30th, 2010

Back in December 2007 (as I write that I can’t believe it’s been that long!) an online friend of mine was getting married and invited 6 or 7 other women (all on the same yahoo scrapbooking group) to the wedding, figuring none of us would come, of course.  But 4 of us managed it!  It was sooo much fun, my first airplane ride (NOT the fun part!!).  And 1 of the girls wanted to come but couldn’t due to surgery a few weeks before and was still recuperating, so she actually made a paper doll of herself and Fed-Exed it to Texas so she could “attend” the wedding too!  We had so much fun with that doll (and lots of embarrassment to go along with that) and took bunches of photos.  Finally last summer I got around to making a scrapbook for my friend and I’ll share it with you below.  I based it on the Dr. Seuss book “Oh The Places You’ll Go” and had a lot of fun making it.  I used a scrapbook kit from SEI but didn’t use the actual album that came with it.  This one is an American Crafts album (my favorite).

So take a look and tell me what you think in the comments!

I am pleasantly surprised that someone has got this idea of having her friend with her this way, while others think that people should be there themselves to have fun with others! Well, finally Klo knows herself where she’s been then and will have even more fun than the people present to discover that she had fun she didn’t know about…

OMG girl, u go. That is awesome. Very inspiring. I want to make one now. How much fun could that trip be. What a conversation piece to take along. Next time I can’t make the trip I will send my doll. I was suppose to go on a quilting cruise last August but due to accident I was unable to make it. Wish I would of seen this then. Kuddos and great job!! As usual Klo you are so inspiring.

I think this is great, they took you every where and they were not leaving you on the table they made sure you had a good time with them. I smiled through the entire trip.

I have to say, it helps to have AWESOME friends that include you. ALSO, they called me on the phone while the ceremony was going on and I got to LISTEN to the vows. I LOVE MY FRIENDS.
