Handmade congratulations card.

June 17th, 2009

I still had the Cherry Arte stuff sitting out from the Creek Bank Creations June kit after making this previous card, and I saw it and wanted to play some more and needed cards for 3 high school graduations and this is one of the ones I came up with.

The first one is made with American Crafts black cardstock (not from the kit), Bazzill red dotted swiss cardstock from the kit , Cherry Arte rubons (flowers and butterflies) from the kit, the checkered ribbon is from the kit, and I used a red straight sewing pin in the knot (not from the kit) and my white gel pen that I love.  In hindsight, it’s not very sparkly and I love sparkly so I may go back and at least add a tiny red rhinestone in the middle of the largest flower.  Just because I can!

My signature move.  Tie a ribbon in a knot and stick a straight pin through it.

Funny thing with this card is that I started out making it vertical.  But my flower rubons were too tall, and I really wanted to use them so I turned the card horizontal!
